On behalf of our faculty, welcome to the Department of Surgery of Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix Regional Campus.
Under the academic umbrella of Creighton University, the medical campuses of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Valleywise Health have partnered to create a rich educational environment notable for outstanding clinical experiences, amazing research opportunities, and high-quality education driven by leaders in academic medicine. We serve a diverse patient population, spanning from patients who seek destination medicine to the economically disadvantaged. Our service lines are recognized for excellence in cardiothoracic surgery, transplant, trauma, burn, and robotic surgery. Collaborative research with the biomedical engineering program at Arizona State University offers the opportunity to develop innovative procedures, prosthetics, and new technologies. And our high-volume and diverse clinical environment provides incredible learning opportunities for students, residents, and fellows.
Driven by core values of diversity, integrity, innovation, collaboration, and compassion, our vision is to be the leading academic Department of Surgery in the Southwest.
