    Weihua Chen, MD

    Dr. Chen graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix in 2017.  He completed his undergraduate studies at the Arizona State University - Tempe with a degree in in Bioengineering in 2006. He also obtained a masters degree in Bioengineering in 2009, also at Arizona State University. He enjoys spending time with family, photography, technology, and DIY projects. ​

    Dmitriy Gonikman, DO

    Dr. Gonikman graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University in 2016. He completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in integrative neuroscience from SUNY - Binghamton in 2012. His hobbies include hiking, traveling, and trying to find the best latte in whatever city he is in.

     
    Stephanie Kwayke

    Stephanie Kwakye, DO

    Dr. Kwakye graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas in 2017. Dr. Kwakye completed her undergraduate studies with a degree in Microbiology from the University of Rochester in 2012. Her hobbies and interests include dancing, reading, cooking, baking, cake decorating, and traveling.

    Katrina Lepthien

    Katrina Lepthien, DO

    Dr. Lepthien graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017. Dr. Lepthien completed her undergraduate studies at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology with degrees in Biology and Chemistry.  Her interests include travel, visiting family and friends and movies.

     
    Erin Nelson

    Erin Nelson, MD

    Dr. Nelson graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix in 2017 where she obtained a combined MD/MPH degree. She completed her undergraduate training at Arizona State University in 2011 with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. Her interests include baking, enjoying local eats (there is always room for dessert!), international travel and spending time with family and friends.

     
    Emil Osipov

    Emil Osipov, MD

    Dr. Osipov graduated from Astrakhan State Medical Academy in Russian Federation and trained in Pediatric residency. He was a practicing pediatrician in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He received professional awards for providing high quality medical care and professionalism. He gained extensive experience in behavior health working as a BHS at Urgent Psychiatric Care providing services to patients with SMI and Developmental Disabilities. His current interests are Child and Adolescent psychiatry, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. He chose MIHS Psychiatry program to gain experience in a variety of psychopathology with a strong focus in academics.

    Alexandria Erickson, DO

    Dr. Erickson graduated from AT Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Phoenix, AZ. She completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at Arizona State University. She enjoys exercise, cooking, interior decorating, and photography.

    Shana Feinberg, DO

    Dr. Feinberg graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Medicine of the Pacific. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in sociology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ.  She enjoys art, cooking, tae kwon do, yoga, hiking, and running marathons.

    Dr. Kurtz graduated from AT Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Phoenix, AZ. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He enjoys outdoor sports, collecting historical memorabilia, reading, grilling, and watching movies.

    Ryan Mahelona, MD

    Dr. Mahelona graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences College of Medicine Northwest.  He completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Arizona State University in Phoenix, AZ.  He enjoys writing, guitar, frisbee, music, and volunteering in the community.

    Dr Sheedy graduated from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University.  He completed pre-medicine degree from University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL and international global studies at the University of South Sewanee, TN.  He enjoys rugby, music, concerts, backpacking, cooking, and traveling.

    Dr. Thayer graduated from Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine.  He completed psychology degree from Portland State University and industrial engineering at Oregon State University.  He enjoys cooking, reading, and virtual running.

    Reema Chopra

    Reema Chopra, DO

    Dr. Chopra graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics with a minor in Biomedical Research at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her professional interests include women’s mental health, inpatient adult psychiatry, and telepsychiatry. She enjoys cooking, dancing, escape rooms, reading, and watching a probably unhealthy amount of reality television.

    Daniel Hintze

    Daniel Hintze, MD

    Dr. Hintze attended medical school at the University of Arizona in Tucson where he was involved in MedPride and the AMA, serving in numerous roles including the Medical Student Delegation Chair for Arizona, representing the Western US as a Delegate to the AMA House of Delegates, and serving on the AMA Medical Student Section Resolution Task Force. He studied economics and philosophy of science at ASU, where he was president of the Student Economics Association, co-founded the ASU Economics Success Center, and did research with the Machine Intelligence Research Institute on functional decision theory. His interests within psychiatry include forensics and palliative care. 

    He is a proud 3rd generation Arizonan, who in his free time enjoys through-hiking, politics, and spending time with all four generations of the 100+ strong “Hintze Clan”.

     
    Chante Mahone

    Chante Mahone, DO

    Dr. Mahone was born and raised in Lynwood, IL. She majored in Biology at St. Louis University for her undergraduate degree. She then attended A.T. Still University-KCOM for medical school. She chose psychiatry once she learned how vital mental health is for a person’s overall well-being. She later plans to specialize in child and adolescent psychiatry. In the name of self-care, she loves traveling, cooking, and getting a good workout in after leaving the hospital.

    Cory Neilsen

    Cory Nielsen, DO

    Dr. Nielsen, Arizona native, graduated from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. He completed his pre-medicine degree and Master’s of Psychology from Grand Canyon University. His professional interests include positive psychology, research, consult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. He enjoys painting landscapes, going to concerts, traveling abroad, documentaries of cringeworthy topics and catching Pokémon.

     
    Asmit Sanghera

    Asmit Sanghera, DO

    Dr. Sanghera graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California-San Diego in Sociocultural Anthropology. She enjoys art, traveling, dancing, learning history, exploring the local food scene, and watching movies.

    Samuel Timm

    Samuel Timm, MD

    Dr. Timm is an Arizona native who went to The University of Arizona for an undergraduate in Psychology, then moving on to The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix for medical school. During his medical school experience he became passionate about patient advocacy, physician leadership, and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, backpacking, traveling, swimming, cooking, and reading.

    Kaden Facer

    Kaden Facer, MD

    Dr. Facer graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Brigham Young University-Idaho. He most enjoys spending time with his family, which involves a lot of toys, dancing in the kitchen, and being a tenacious tickle monster. He can also be found grilling, trying to be "outdoorsy", and lifting small weights at the gym.
    Angela Le

    Angela Le, DO

    As a lifelong Arizonan, Dr. Le is excited to complete her residency close to her family and friends. She loves being able to go outside all year round and reminding her out of state friends of that fact. You don’t need to shovel sunshine!

    After working hard through four years of unemployment, Dr. Le is very thankful to be at Creighton/Valleywise for residency. Valleywise offers excellent training with a very diverse patient population. She especially appreciates the caring and talented people working beside her.

    When not accidentally burning some portion of dinner, she enjoys doing agility classes with her dog Jake (no affiliation with State Farm), woodworking, or planning her next National Park trip.

    Adam Lowry

    Adam Lowry, DO

    Dr. Lowry attended medical school at A.T. Still University-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA). He graduated with both a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Public Health. Dr. Lowry is originally from the Midwest, but he moved to Arizona after receiving a bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Southern Indiana. He enjoys traveling, gardening, DIY projects, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

    Namritha Manoharan

    Namritha Manoharan, DO

    Dr. Manoharan graduated from A.T.Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Phoenix, AZ. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She enjoys coffee, dancing, watching movies, and exploring different cuisines.

     
    Zachary Masuda

    Zachary Masuda, MD

    Dr. Masuda graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine - Omaha in 2020. He completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in Biology and minor in Philosophy at Creighton University in 2016. His hobbies include running, hiking, ultimate, cooking, baking banana bread to make friends, and sinking those friendships in Settlers of Catan.

    Amira Perviz

    Amira Perviz, DO

    Dr. Perviz graduated from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at Arizona State University. Dr. Perviz was always fascinated by brain neurobiology and its effects on human behavior; thus, she decided to pursue a career in psychiatry.

    In her free time, she enjoys traveling, tennis, yoga, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Perviz is also an avid animal lover and enjoys bird watching and learning about our local wildlife in Arizona and the various other places she gets to travel to.
