How to Apply Surgical Critical Care
Applying for our SCC or BCC Fellowship
Candidates must be finishing or have graduated from a ACGME accredited surgical residency program. The department strictly follows EEOC guidelines. The program director and SCCF faculty review all applications. We currently accept one fellow for SCCF and one for BCCF.

- Three (3) letters of recommendation
- ABSITE and USMLE scores

Selected applicants are invited to interview on an individual basis. The interview includes briefing by the Program Director, interviews with Attending physicians from Valleywise Health and Mayo hospitals Critical Care division, an informal lunch and a tour of the hospital. During continued Covid restrictions we will continue with virtual interviews.
