Negative Pressure Rooms for Aerosolized Procedures

Valleywise Health has activated 18 new negative pressure rooms in IDU1 and IDU3 at Valleywise Health Medical Center. The CDC states that negative pressure rooms are part of the first line of defense to decrease transmission of COVID-19 during aerosolized procedures. Thank you to the Valleywise Health Facilities/Maintenance team, Kitchell Construction and others who worked diligently to convert the spaces to negative pressure rooms. Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Grant

The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust awarded Valleywise Health Foundation a $500,000 grant to support addressing the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Funding will support innovative responses and defray increased costs incurred due to the coronavirus. 

Northrop Grumman Donations

Northrop Grumman Corporation has become a big supporter of Valleywise Health Foundation.  The global aerospace and defense technology company recently donated goggles and face shields and awarded funding for COVID-19 relief. One of the company’s engineers led the charge to make 400 face shields using 3-D printers.
